The History of Elsinore Christian Center
Elsinore Christian Center was established in 1986 when Senior Pastors Jim and Carol Hilbrant came to the city from their home church of Rancho Christian Center in Rancho Cucamonga. They were members of that church for 8 years and Pastor Hilbrant was ordained in 1981 and served under Apostle David Cunningham as an assistant pastor.
The vision of Rancho Christian Center included establishing new churches and this church was the first church birthed as part of the Rancho International Ministries that now includes churches in California, Nevada, Iowa, Mexico, Zimbabwe Africa and India. Elsinore Christian Center moved to our present location in 2005 and we exist to bring the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to every person in this city and valley.
We preach the uncompromising Word of God and desire to pursue His presence in our services. We are a family of believers who love God and His people and have a passion for outreach and evangelism for our city and for the nations. We extend a warm welcome to you and would love for you to come and visit us.
We believe in one God, Creator and Lord of the Universe, the Co-eternal Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ, God’s Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures, rose bodily from the dead and ascended to the right hand of God in Heaven where as truly God and truly man, He is the only mediator between God and man.
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Christ, and during this age to convict man, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.
We believe that the Bible is God’s authoritative and inspired Word. It is without error in all of its teaching, including creation, history, its own origins, and salvation. Christians must submit to its divine authority, both individually and corporately, in all matters of belief and conduct, which is demonstrated by true righteous living.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such who receive Jesus Christ as born of the Spirit, and thus become the children of God.
We believe that water baptism identified us with the death and burial of Christ and that we should arise and walk in newness of life, separated from worldly lust and sinful living.
We believe in one holy, universal, and Apostolic Church composed of such persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is the Head.
We believe that the Church’s calling is to worship God, and witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the Gospel among all nations and demonstrating its commitment by compassionate service to the need of human beings and promoting righteousness and justice.
We believe in the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit for the Church’s constant renewal in truth, wisdom, faith, holiness, love, power and mission.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is at work today within the church through His gifts, fruits, and anointed ministers, to bring each Christian to a fullness and oneness with Christ both in purity and maturity.
We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in glory to raise the dead and bring salvation and judgment to completion: the believer receiving everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; the unbeliever receiving everlasting punishment.
We believe that God will fully manifest His Kingdom when He establishes a new heaven and a new earth, in which He will be glorified forever and exclude all evil, suffering and death.
